A rugby league career that saw him captain andcoach his beloved Balmain club and the NSW Blues as well as captain Australia gave Wayne an insight to the powerful psychological and physiological impacts of teamwork. Wayne has combined this practical, experience with his Bachelor of Science Degree to deliver audiences techniques and habits to get more from the collective horsepower, spirit and IQ of any group.

Wayne Pearce is one of Australia’s most respected and highest profile Rugby league identities.

He carved out an illustrious career in Rugby League where he represented and captained the Balmain Tigers, New South Wales and Australia from 1980 to 1990

Whilst developing his football career, Wayne completed a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of New South Wales which included 3 years of psychology studies.

This background was particularly useful when he retired from playing and commenced a professional coaching career with the Balmain Tigers. He was so successful as the Tigers coach that he was appointed New South Wales state of origin coach…he held that role until he retired from coaching to develop corporate performance ignition programs.

Wayne is widely regarded as an innovator and he used his university studies as a platform from which he sought to develop improved and more effective methods of preparing teams for competition.

In addition to his corporate workshops, Wayne is an accomplished Rugby League commentator and media personality who is also highly sought as a motivational speaker across Australia and South-east Asia. His aptly named business “Wayne Pearce Advantage" has an impressive list of clients which includes Canon, Mazda, Commonwealth Bank, IAG Insurance, NRMA and the BGC international broking group.
