Guest speaker Michael Crossland is an amazing young man who has overcome the threat of life threatening cancer to create a life of extraordinary achievements. An accomplished businessman and an expert sportsman, his life is a phenomenal success.

Michael's inspirational story began before his first birthday when he was tragically diagnosed with cancer. His doctors told his parents school and sport were not options. Infection and exhaustion were too great a risk. As a child, Michael's only wish was to have a normal life and be able to do everything other ‘normal’ kids did.

Now, Michael is a successful businessman, a finalist for Australian of the Year, an Australia Day Ambassador, a Camp Quality Ambassador and an inductee into the International Hall of Fame.

Michael's endeavours also extend into the arts and entertainment world. In 2014, he became the focal point for a book, a documentary about his life and he was on the front cover of Focus Magazine, featured on a TV show in Fiji, has his own radio show and will release his first single on iTunes.

Also, Michael was named the Canterbury Bulldogs Secret Motivational Weapon on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald and Rugby League Week.

Michael's story inspires people from all backgrounds and beliefs, focusing on believing in yourself and achieving dreams that seem impossible. Michael has a singular passion to unearth people’s ability to change in order to become who they truly want to be and achieve great success.
